I support families through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood with trauma-informed doula care + lifetime documentary photography that honors every stage of your journey

Birth Doula and Photographer

My passion is to help empower people to trust in themselves and to help create the most beautiful and positive birth experience unique to them. I'm in love with the power of birth and with the innate magic that we, as birthing beings, possess.

More About Me

"There is a secret in our culture, and it's not that birth is painful. It's that women are strong." – Laura Stavoe Harm

Doula

I believe birth decisions should be informed and truly yours. Whether you are navigating an induction, deciding if or when to use an epidural, planning an unmedicated hospital birth, or preparing for home birth, I help you understand your options clearly so you can move forward with confidence.

During labor, I provide hands-on comfort support, position guidance, and calm reassurance that helps you stay comfortable while encouraging steady progress. My role is not to decide for you, but to help you feel informed, supported, and strong in every step forward.

Photography

Second to supporting people through pregnancy and labor, capturing birth stories is one of my favorite things to do! Often people think of birth as scary or gross, and certainly not something they want to see. I couldn't disagree more. And the proof is in the photos. Birth is life-altering, and I just love capturing the love and beauty of it all. Additionally, I've also extended my photography to include maternity, newborn and family lifestyle. What better way to catch up with my clients and watch their babies grow, than to continue to capture them on camera!

Reiki

Originated in Japan, Reiki is a hands-on energy healing modality that clears toxic energy out of the body, replaces it with high vibration universal life force energy and brings the body into a state of balance and harmony. Reiki supports birthing people through the on-going physical, emotional and spiritual changes of pregnancy. Many birthing people report feeling more centered, rested and grounded after a treatment.

“Alicia will always be a special person to our family. Her calm, lighthearted energy was so impactful during my birth. She encouraged Guy (husband) with ways to support me and keep me grounded. She had a bag of magic she kept pulling odds and ends out to keep me comfortable. She giggled with Guy as I cracked jokes to cope with the contractions. She’s the type of person you feel like you have known forever. I promise she will make your birth story magical too”

Short version: I highly recommend Alicia!

I had the most beautiful pregnancy and birth with Alicia by my side. The support and comfort that she provided my husband and I was invaluable. She helped me create my birth plan with her expertise and really helped empower my wishes during labor and delivery. If I become pregnant again, I would love to have Alicia as my doula again. She is essential!
We are grateful that Alicia was a part of this magical journey.

Alicia was graciously available to our little family through pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. Her warm touch, compassionate guidance, and well thought out responses to questions helped facilitate a transition into this parental journey with more ease. Her physical and emotional support carried my family through this experience of a lifetime. I am eternally grateful for her presence and guidance during the birth of our beautiful boy. She helped facilitate the most positive support system I could have

I don’t even know where to start about Alicia! She’s a natural and once you start working with her you will realize she was meant to be doing this work. Having her on my team alongside my husband was the best decision we could have made. I came into it as a first time mom with a good amount of past trauma. I was afraid my past would make things pretty tough. I disclosed that trauma to Alicia during our first meet up and from the jump she felt incredibly safe and trust worthy.
